Gathering with Purpose
From small workshops to national summits, we design and manage events that foster connection, learning, and collective action. Bridging the gap between cooperatives, non-profits, and public institutions to solve complex problems. Connecting disparate local initiatives into a cohesive national movement for cooperative growth. Strengthening organizational memory and fostering peer-to-peer learning within your enterprise.
New York is home to, by some counts, more worker cooperatives than any other state in the nation, as well as a vibrant community of credit unions, food co-ops, housing co-ops, and more. However, given the state’s large size and the cultural chasm that can sometimes exist between upstate and downstate communities, cooperators in different regions can often feel isolated from one another…given ICA’s deep belief in the importance of robust local and regional cooperative ecosystems and the fact that several of our staff members are based in NY State, we decided to invest in the success of this gathering…I We are deeply committed to building a powerful and cohesive co-op movement in New York
